More than 1 million respond to first statewide education survey

Chicago Tribune: More than 1.1 million students, teachers and parents filled out the 5Essentials survey

"In all, 75 percent of K-12 teachers and 70 percent of sixth- through 12th-graders took the online surveys this year, adding up to nearly 957,000 respondents.

Nearly 200,000 parents also completed surveys.
