Joanna O'Brien
Joanna O'Brien is a Senior Manager of Professional Learning. In this role, she provides strategic support in the administration, implementation, and coaching of staff for schools using STEP. She also collaborates on the continued improvement of STEP Professional Learning, including resources and training.
Previously, Joanna worked as a classroom teacher in Chicago Public Schools and in Los Angeles Unified School District. She's also worked as a Literacy Specialist and Instructional Coach in both urban neighborhood schools and charter schools. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from The University of Northern Iowa and a Master's in Social Work with a concentration in Community Organizing, Planning and Administration from The University of Southern California.
I am inspired by the classroom teachers and school leaders I come in contact with who have a true passion and commitment to the students they serve.
