Julie McGann
Julie McGann is the Director of STEP Professional Learning. In this role, she offers critical support and direction that drive successful implementations of the STEP literacy assessment in schools, networks, and districts across the country. She oversees the design and delivery of K-3 STEP and literacy professional developments and adult coaching models.
Julie has over 20 years of experience in literacy teaching and training with child and adult learners. She has a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University. She also holds a Reading M.Ed and Reading Specialist Certification from Chicago State University, a M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Principal Certification from Olivet Nazarene University, and a Reading Recovery Certification from National-Louis University.
It's inspiring to see the work of leaders and teachers across the country to develop students' literacy learning. It is fulfilling to see this growth and motivating to try and continue to replicate this process for more educators and students in the future.
